ICD-10-CM Diagnosis Coding Refresher – Part 1 (2026)

This Part I presentation will focus on selected key concepts in Sections I (A and B only), II, III, and IV of the ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines. Common error trends on specific guidelines in these sections will be the focus of this discussion. The importance of coding accuracy will be explained and tips for coders on improving diagnosis specificity will be provided. ICD-10-CM Section I.C on Chapter Specific Guidelines will be presented in a separate, Part 2, education session. Both presentations are based on the ICD-10-CM 2026 Guidelines.
